History
We were originally founded to serve the employees and family members of Wilkes-Barre City. Over the years, we have included Plains Township and Wilkes-Barre Township employees and their family members. In 2016, we were granted a community charter that allows us to serve anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, or volunteers in Luzerne, Lackawanna, or Wyoming Counties.
December 1960 – Chartered as Wilkes Barre City Employees FCU
August 2015 – Added mobile services, upgraded all technology
Sept 2016 – Changed our name to CityMark FCU
February 2018 – Granted a community charter to serve all of Luzerne, Lackawanna, and Wyoming Counties
July 2018 – Completed merger with Metro Wire FCU
October 2019 - Completed merger with People’s Choice FCU
June 2020 - Completed merger with Wyoming Valley West Community FCU
November 2020 - Opened new Plains office on River Street
May 2021 - Reached assets of $80 Million
July 2022 - Reached assets of $104 Million
March 2023 - Reached assets of $111 Million
